| I Can't Help Falling in Love With You |
I first met Chris in 1989, when he knocked on my door to let me know that his parents were there to pick me up for a
church activity. He was just passing through on his way from Guam to California and it was not until 4 years later in January
of 1993 that I saw him again. He had moved to Virginia and we began hanging out together. We spent lots of time on the beach
together, talking and sharing our dreams and goals. We quickly became best friends and I remember watching 4th of July fireworks
with him - my best friend. But somehow, by the end of July, we were planning our wedding. I am still not sure how that happened!
I think he tricked me ;)
Chris is my everything. I honestly do not think I deserve such a wonderful man in my life
~ but I sure am grateful to have been blessed with him. He is the most wonderful husband a woman could ever wish for. For
our wedding reception, we chose to dance to Elvis Presley's song "I Can't Help Falling in Love With You." That is how we felt
then and it is how we feel now. But the best song that describes me since we have been together is Celine Dion's "Because
You Loved Me." He has brought so much joy to my life and he is my strength when I am weak. He has been there for me for the
good and bad. We have lived a life of fun and adventure. There has been some heart ache along the way, but Chris was always
there by my side to get though each loss I have endured. All of my family loves Chris - sometimes I think they love him more
than me :) I guess I have always loved those younger men ;)
I tease him that when he turns 40, I am trading him in for
2 - 20s :) ~ But he knows I would not trade him for anything or anyone :) I would truly be nothing with out my Lover ~ without
my cutie pie honey bunch ~ without my Poptart and HoHo man ~ without my Chris :) ~~I Love You Baby!
LOOKING TOWARDS OUR FUTURE: Chris has accepted a job in Germany. I will join him soon! We look forward
to lots of adventure, fun and travel while in Europe! We are not sure how long we will stay there, but we do plan on
eventually returning to Sweet Home Alabama where we will build our dream home on the land we purchased.
